“This woman deserves to be praised.
A man was checking in for his flight when the agent asked how old his daughter was. He said she had just turned two. The agent then asked if she had a ticket. The man was confused because he thought she could fly for free. (When he booked the flight, she was one, but her birthday was in January.) He became really upset and said he couldn’t afford to buy her a ticket or change the flight on such short notice. He stepped aside, hugged his daughter, and tried to make some calls. You could see he was heartbroken.
The woman standing next to him at the counter heard everything. She walked over to him and asked what was wrong. After talking for a bit, they both went up to the counter together.
She pointed to his daughter and said, “I want to buy her ticket.”
The agent asked, “Do you know how much this ticket costs?”
The woman said, “$700 something?”
The agent said, “$749.”
The woman said, “That’s fine,” and pulled out her credit card. I was standing right there and I just said to her, “God Bless You!” They printed out the ticket, and the agent kept talking about how she had goosebumps. The man hugged the woman and asked how he could repay her. The woman just kept saying, “Don’t worry about it.” She knew she wanted to help him and his daughter, no matter the cost.
Please share this story because people like this woman need to be recognized.”
