This is Officer Brian Libetti an Evesham Township Police officer assigned to Rice Elementary School. Since the beginning of the school year, Olivia cried every single morning… Sometimes from the minute she opened her eyes. As we walked towards the front door of the building, often someone would have to take her from me as she sobbed in hysterics begging me to take her home. It was very hard for her to just get in the building. One day, Officer Brian (as the kids call him) asked why she was upset. I explained she was afraid and didn’t really want to go to school. This kind man asked Liv if he could walk her to class and she very willingly held his hand and he took her to her room. He chats with her and makes her feel comfortable and safe. Since that day, almost a week and a half ago, every single morning he stands and says hello to all the children and greets Liv with a big good morning smile and takes her by the hand and walks her to her class. She has stopped crying completely and is always happy to see her new friend. I am so very grateful for this police officer.
