Kim Kardashian recently visited a prison in Washington

Kim Kardashian recently visited a prison in Washington, D.C., where she met Momolu Stewart, a former actor who appeared in the 1998 film Slam. At the time of filming, Stewart was just 17 years old and incarcerated for a serious crime. He was later convicted of taking a man’s life and had spent over 22 years behind bars.

After their meeting, Stewart shared a photo of himself with Kim on social media, writing, “Making power moves from the inside with my sister @kimkardashian. My next move is even bigger, and I’m thinking five steps ahead.”

Inspired by their encounter, Kim took action on Stewart’s behalf, writing a letter to the judge urging for his release. The judge responded by reducing Stewart’s sentence to the time he had already served and placing him on probation for five years.

On Monday, at 39 years old, Stewart was released from the Central Detention Facility after serving more than 23 years. A prison spokesperson confirmed the release.

Stewart and another man, Kareem McCraney, were sentenced to life for the 1997 death of Mark Rosebure. At the time of the incident, Stewart was just 16 and tried as an adult. ❤️
