“I’ve got the cutest story to share! So, I work at a frozen yogurt shop, and the folks in my town aren’t usually the friendliest. Anyway, this woman comes in and orders this massive cup of yogurt, which was around $15. She digs into her purse for her wallet but realizes she forgot it. She asked if she could quickly dash to her car to get it, and I said sure. While I was waiting for her to come back, another woman, who was there with her kids, approached the register and started rummaging through her purse. I asked if she needed help, and she said, ‘Yes, I’d like to pay for this woman’s yogurt.’ I was a bit taken aback and asked why, and she replied, ‘I just thought I’d do something nice for someone else.’ So, she ended up paying for it, and when the first woman returned, I told her what happened. Her smile was huge, and she looked like she might cry. She turned to the woman who paid and said, ‘Thank you so much. No one ever does anything nice for me, and this really came at a great time.’ We both asked why, and she said, ‘Today is my birthday!’ So, everyone in the store started singing happy birthday to her, and she turned to the woman who paid and said, ‘I make homemade jewelry. Let me make you a pair of earrings as a thank you.’ They were both so happy, and everyone was smiling. I even asked if I could take their picture, and I got this adorable shot. It just goes to show that humanity isn’t lost!”
