I had a sad interaction with a woman today. I went to the post office and there was a woman asking for money in the parking lot, but her clothes were in really rough shape and she was basically fully exposed. She asked if I would give her some money and I told her I didn’t have any cash but asked her if she wanted a new shirt from the dollar store next door.
She said, “what’s the point of trying to look beautiful when I’m so ugly?” 😭😭😭😭
I said “well, beauty, like people, is not just one thing.”
I know people will ask, so, yes I got her some clothing, water, antibiotic ointment and bandaids.
But that’s not the point. The point is that nobody should feel like they aren’t beautiful. Despite our differences, challenges, and pain there is still beauty inside of you. I hope she felt a little bit of that today, and I hope you do too 🫶
