If an adult lion in a zoo escaped from its cage and entered the enclosure of a Komodo dragon, who would emerge alive from the encounter?

“Now this is an interesting question! For those who are not familiar with the appearance of the beautiful Komodo dragon, here is a quick illustrative image:”

“I know, I know, it looks ugly and very mean, but I swear it has its flaws too. Jokes aside, this big guy comes from Indonesia, and yes, it’s a lizard, as absurd as it may seem, because it really does look like a dragon (minus the wings)!

Besides its incredible speed, sharp claws, and the strength of its bite comparable to that of a shark, its saliva is highly venomous and therefore *fatal*. For a human, even a scratch would be enough, but what about a lion?

Let’s see, in my opinion, the King could be defeated. I read another user’s response, which says that the lion would initially win only to die in the middle of the meal due to the Komodo dragon’s bite, but I disagree. In fact, I believe the lion would lose immediately, because it wouldn’t be foolish enough to approach this formidable opponent in the first place. However, if it did happen, the venomous bite and a few scratches would not only cause great pain to our King of the Savannah but also scare it to death, literally.

Unfortunately, there’s this absurd belief that the lion is a fearless and incredibly strong feline, when in reality, the fiercest and even bigger feline is the tiger. I think she would have a better chance against the dragon, though the venomous bite remains a too dangerous weapon.”
